Griswold Graves
Aug. 6, 2007

Jim and Bev Winsness went to this cemetery to locate the graves of Edward and Margaret Griswold for their son-in-law, Bruce Droste, and friend Bill Raper, both of whom are descendants. The cemetery was huge, but the grave was located within about 10 minutes, and when Jim walked back to the van to get the camera, he was met by Matthew S. McDonald who had just driven up. Matt stated he was looking for a grave and was concerned he may have blocked my exit. I asked what grave he was looking for and he said "Edward Griswold". It was one of those special moments! I pointed at it and said we had just been looking for the SAME grave. Not much leaves me speechless, but that was close!
