Sons of the American Revolution
Our relative, Loammi Baldwin, led the Woburn Militia, in the first successful attack on the British on April 19, 1775, as they left Lexington. Loammi Baldwin is my 4th cousin, 7 times removed. His parents descended from both Samuel and Ezekiel Richardson - brothers to my Thomas Richardson ancestor!
Included in our ancestors is Joseph Shaw who fought in the Connecticut Troops. His son John and his wife Keziah lived and are buried in Benson Vermont, where Joseph is recorded in the 1790 census. Joseph's death date and location have not been positively identified, therefore, we requested and received a memorial headstone for Joseph to be placed at the cemetery located on the Joseph Shaw property beside that of John and Keziah. This stone was placed during the summer of 2007.
