Wilson in ND
While I was in Fessenden in 2007 getting anhydrous ahmonia, I called Don Wilson and was telling him how beautiful a day it was in ND and he replied "I wish I could do that!"
Well, the Hagen family consented, and he came with me in 2008. We stayed at LaDell's home and as such had our own private home in ND. Our task was to get all the granular herbicide, Sonolan, applied and dug in and even with some equipment problems, we completed our task. Well, it rained and we didn't get to dig in the last field but the rain took care of it for us.
He flew out of Denver so we took some time to see the Teddy Roosevelt Nat. Park in the ND Badlands, then Mt. Rushmore and the Needles, and the Crazy Horse Memorial on the way to Denver. Amy's husband Bruce took us to the Rocky Mtn. Nat. Park and then Don left.
Moral of the story - don't wish for things unless you are certain!
After we left the Hagen farm, we went to the Teddy Roosevelt Nat. Park, Deadwood SD, Mt. Rushmore, and Bruce and Amy took us to the Rocky Mountain National Park. OK - there are way too many photos, but I just couldn't delete any. You can click on any one, then go back to the index to see another, or you can take some time and click on Next a few hundred times and see them all. I'm not at all embarrassed at how many there are as it took us DAYS to go to all these sites and you can see them in less than 10 minutes.
So, my recommendation, don't start until you have time to absorb the beauty of the Badlands, national monumnets, and Rocky Mountains.
Click on any photo to view it, and then click on "Next" to see the next.....
Thanks Don - I really enjoyed your company and I think we did well!
