The Land Management Plan for the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest allows riders to ride only on any designated open or closed road or on any designated trail that is open to horseback use.

The Frady Branch Trail System to the west of Currahee Mountain and an older trail, Ladyslipper, off Red Root Road, currently are the 2 major mountain bicycle/equestrian/hiking trail systems.

Organizations active in the LRWMA Trails

Mountain Bicycles:  The Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association (SORBA) supports the beautiful trails in the LRWMA.  The almost 100 miles of dirt roads and the trails in the Frady  Branch Trail System and  the Ladyslipper Trail offer something for everyone.

Equestrian Organizations:  GA. Endurance Riders, CTHA & Currahee Saddle Club, NE GA. Saddle Club  GA. Horse Council  

Hiking:  The NE Georgia Hiking Association maintains the Broad River Trail and the Frady Branch Trail System and dirt roads offer a wonderful hiking experience.
